Claims Assistant Manager Personal Lines

Our Clients are a world renowned Direct Insurer with offices in every major country, currently in the Singapore office they are seeking an experiences Claims Individual within Personal Lines  

ASSISTANT MANAGER, CLAIMS

Responsibilities:

• Assist Senior Manager, Claims in the overall development of the claims operation
• Provide guidance and support to ensure claims subordinates to develop sound business practice in support of the departmental objectives
• Monitor the outstanding claims and maintain the adequacy of reserves and recoveries
• Assist to make recommendations on underwriting issues based on trends in claims development
• Drive the proactive claims handling system
• Participate in the company’s claims related and other projects

Requirements:

• Proven experience in handling claims, which would normally require a minimum of 7 years working experience with at least 3 years at supervisory level
• Experience in handling Personal Injury, Employees’ Compensation, Liability, Motor and CAR claims is preferred
• Strong analytical mindset, initiative and detail-minded
• Excellent supervisory and communication skills
• University graduate with ACII / ANZIIF or equivalent preferred
• A legal background would be advantageous for this position
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
