EHS Engineer
Reporting to the EHS Leader, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on environment, health and safety (EHS) issues, ensuring procedural compliance on site safety and working closely with the team in the implementation of all EHS promotion programs and incident/accident investigations. You are required to:
- Develop and implement EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and implement required corrective actions.
- Perform industrial health and hygiene sampling and resolve concerns on industrial health and safety issues.
- Develop, provide and conduct training and education programs to reinforce EHS awareness.
- Implement programs for the recognition, evaluation and control of physical and chemical hazards.
- Evaluate new processes, chemicals and equipment to ensure compliance before usage in the facility.
- Coordinate plant security measures for the safe protection of employees and company properties.
- Lead projects as assigned from time to time.
- Liaise with local authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Possess strong leadership with good interpersonal skills
- Good initiative and analytical skills
- A Registered Safety Officer with the Singapore Ministry of Manpower
