Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description

• Manage and improve suppliers' quality by monitoring the suppliers' performance to achieve the quality targets
• Lead supplier selection/evaluation, qualification and certification initiatives to maintain continuous quality improvements
• Use and support data system to collect data to evaluate supplier quality performance and prepare performance reports
• Initiate meeting with supplier and Procurement officers to discuss on the continual quality improvement
• Maintain of suppliers' data
• Conduct Local and Overseas suppliers' audit as per ISO Quality management system
• Establish Inspection Control Plan (ICP) and Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) and Process Qualification Plan with local and overseas suppliers for process qualification
  

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2-3 years' supplier quality experience in automotive industry
• Experience in quality systems, process audit and component/sub-assembly qualification
• Proficient in Mandarin to liaise with clients in China
• Must be able to work independently
• Willing travel overseas within short notices
• Knowledge of Metal and Plastics manufacturing process is an added advantage
• Those had attended and successfully completed the Assessors/Lead Assessors of ISO 9000 quality system training is an added advantage
