Asia Tax Manager

Our client a multinational corporation, is seeking an Asia Tax Manager to join their team in Singapore.

You will coordinate the Asian tax returns for the Group in the region. You will support and continuously improve processes to escalate the Asia Tax office to a higher level. You will support the Tax Department, with focus on process improvements and increase in efficiency, be able to identify opportunities for maximising cash flow and minimising effective tax rates, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity.

You will facilitate and execute all initiatives which should lead to tax savings and monitor the accuracy of the region’s subsidiaries’ tax filings, troubleshoot on general tax issues and be able to analyse VAT and CIT returns and report to Management. Work with finance personnel to record tax consequences (risk management) and improve efficiency of tax compliance processes. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of tax returns and customer satisfaction index.

Possess a relevant business degree in tax accounting. Have at least 5 years of regional tax management experience from a multinational corporation or tax consultancy firm, with the ability to evaluate complex proposals, identify, and resolve tax-related risks and have relevant experience and strong knowledge of CIT, VAT and Customs legislation.

High fluency in the English language with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are expected. Is a self starter, proactive, and hands-on. A strong team player with the ability to lead, motivate and coach. Have the ability to work under pressure and abide to strict deadlines.
