This position is responsible for the collection of and accounting for all fees paid for consular services in accordance with the Department regulations and the highest standards of accuracy and accountability. Also responsible for handling walk-in public inquiries and acting as one of the first points of contact for all visitors to the Consular Section and assisting the American Citizen Services unit with document preparation, data entry and document printing.

Consular Cashier

Requirements:
1. Successful completion of local secondary school education or high school graduate.

2. At least 1 year of responsible experience in cashiering, bookkeeping and/or accounting

3. Fluent in oral and written English and in one local language (Mandarin, Malay or Tamil).

4. Knowledge of cashiering procedures and basic principles of accountability.

5. Ability to work calmly with the public under pressure.

6. Competent in Microsoft Office Program applications such as Word, Excel, etc., and possess good data entry skills.
