Production Editor
Our client, who is in the publishing & trade industry, is currently looking for a Production Editor to join their editorial team.
Responsibilities:
- · Managing the editorial production process
- · Overseeing all phases of the production process, ensuring that journals are produced in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high quality standards.
- · Performing hands-on role in the production process and managing the copyediting, proofreading, and page layout phases.
- · Conducting interviews, generating articles, maintaining an image library and work with the Senior Editors to commission and manage external suppliers and freelance professionals.
- · Working with various people within the organisation to develop and update web, intranet and email content
- · Developing online processes and user experience for a new website
- · Supporting the production of email newsletters
- · Maintaining the quality and accuracy of all contents by taking responsibility for proofreading material before publication
Requirements:
- · Bachelor’s degree.
- · Good understanding of web accessibility and usability as well as experience of writing and editing web content
- · Experience of writing and editing web content
- · Minimum 3 years of related editorial or production experience is
- · Strong research, interviewing, writing, sub-editing and proofreading skills
- · Excellent organizational and project management skills
